Southwest Crisis Services is a non-profit, community-based organization. Approximately 80% of our operating cost is funded by the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General. To raise the balance of the necessary revenue, we rely on the support of our community.

Financial Donations:
We gratefully accept all financial donations. A tax deductible receipt is issued for donations of ten dollars ($10) and over.
Item Donations:
The following donations are distributed, on your behalf, to families in crisis:
  • toiletries (soaps, toothbrushes & toothpaste, hairbrushes)
  • gently used or new children's clothing, especially for older children and for boys
  • school supplies
  • kitchen starter kits (flour, sugar, salt & pepper, baking soda, baking powder, commonly used spices)
  • canned goods and non-perishable items
    household items such as dishes, cutlery, pots & pans, small appliances (toasters, kettles, coffee makers)
  • cleaning supplies
  • towels
  • bedding, pillows and blankets
  • starter tool kits
  • totebags, luggage
  • gift certificates, event passes and other vouchers

  1. Board of Directors:
    Southwest Crisis Services is governed by a volunteer Board comprising of community members who represent the demographics of southwest Saskatchewan. Directors represent a wide range of professions, and contribute a great deal of knowledge and experience. The Board meets on a monthly basis, except for the summer months.

  2. Fundraising:
    Our organization hosts a variety of fundraising events, in order to raise the funds required to meet the needs of our region.

    If you are energetic and creative, please consider joining our fundraising team.

    Annual events include the Duck Derby and Fall into Christmas Craft Raffle.
